Help Us Build the Future of Jewish Teens in Ukraine: Active Jewish Teens Annual Conference 2026!

Active Jewish Teens (AJT) Ukraine connects teens from 18 clubs across Jewish communities, reaching over 700 participants ages 13–17. With the support and partnership of JDC and BBYO, it helps teens connect with like-minded peers and strengthens their Jewish identity, leadership, and communication skills.
The AJT Annual Conference 2026 is the highlight of Ukraine’s Jewish teen movement, bringing together 200 teens for four days of training, hands-on workshops, a shared Shabbat, and Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremonies. This is more than an event—it’s a catalyst for leadership, community action, strengthened Jewish identity, and lasting impact.
After the conference, every participant returns home with action plans to launch initiatives, grow their clubs, and strengthen the network of Jewish youth across Ukraine.

Our Scale

This conference brings teens, leaders, and communities from across Ukraine together, creating a shared space where energy turns into real action. Participation is carefully selected to include teens who are actively engaged in their clubs, show leadership potential, and are ready to launch initiatives in their communities. We invite teens who are actively engaged in their AJT club, attend meetings consistently, have a recommendation from their club leader, demonstrate initiative and leadership potential, and are ready to launch their own projects in their club or community after the conference.
Teens co-create and lead parts of the program, learning responsibility, teamwork, and initiative. A highlight is the Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony, which deepens their personal connection to Jewish tradition and strengthens their identity.

Real Stories from Participants

“I Came Home — and Launched an Initiative”

Artur Dotsenko, 16 y.o.,
Kyiv _______________________
Before the conference, I thought an “initiative” was just about getting excited and sharing an idea. But in reality, things often stop at the second step. At the AJT Conference, we learned something simple but powerful: how to turn an idea into action. We broke the idea down into steps, decided who was responsible for what, and agreed on what my very first step would be after coming home.
And most importantly, I did not come back alone. I connected with people from other cities who are also working on their own projects, and we stay in touch. That gives you real strength: when things get hard, you do not give up, because you know you are part of a movement.
I want teens who cannot afford to pay for participation on their own to have the chance to attend this conference. Because very often, they are the ones who need it most. If you make a donation now, you are giving someone the chance to come home and launch their first real initiative in their community.
